Grading Scale for SBG classroom and EQs
Students receive grades of "1", "2", "3", or "4" for each assessed topic. Here is what each number represents:
Level 4 = Mastery Achievement:* Credit earned.
* Shows complete knowledge of the subject.
* Can take material and apply it to other concepts/set of problems.
* In the "old" scale, this would be the same as earning anywhere from an 87-100%.
Level 3 = Proficient Achievement:* Credit earned.
* Shows good knowledge of the subject.
* Demonstrates minor misconceptions when responding.
* In the "old" scale, this would be the equivalent of earning anywhere from a 73-86%.
Level 2 = Basic Achievement: * Credit not earned.
* Shows some knowledge of the subject.
* Demonstrates major misconceptions when responding.
* In the "old" scale, this would be the equivalent of earning anywhere from a 60-72%.
Level 1 = Insufficient Achievement: * Credit not earned.
* Shows little knowledge of the subject.
* Demonstrates that conceptions are in error.
* In the "old" scale, this would be the equivalent of earning anywhere from a 0-59%.
NOTE: Level 1 also serves as a "placeholder" for incomplete work.
